Trishawna Quincy grew up in a fabric store. Her sewing education began at age five when she secretly used her mom’s serger to make her mother a birthday gift. Given the child’s persistence and the impending danger she posed on herself, her mom was forced to start her sewing education a few years earlier than planned.

Trishawna spent her childhood summers in the family basement constructing award-winning 4-H projects and singing along to country radio. This pretty much sums up who she is today.

By the age of 18, she had 13 years of experience operating a sewing machine, in contrast to only two years behind the wheel of a car. She decided to use this to her advantage and head to college to study fashion design. Her undergraduate degree in Clothing & Textile Design is from the University of Nebraska. Her graduate degree in Fashion Design is from the Domus Academy in Milan. She spent a decade of her adulthood on the West Coast working as a swimwear designer. However, in 2015 Nashville called her name. That same year she began the Sewing Training Academy, under the wings of Catholic Charities. She nurtured it like her very own child for nine years before stepping out into her own venture.

In 2024, Tikivision Style Lab was born. Under the banner of Tikivision Style Lab, Trishawna uses her expertise in fashion, sewing and design to teach private sewing lessons and create custom clothing projects for clients. Want to work with her? Click the button below.
